Unlock forgottten password/pattern lock of Android

Google Nexus Tab Pattern Lock.

Solution 1: Forgotten your password/pattern unlock of your Android Tablet, or the face unlock feature refuses to work

Solution:  Click on “forgot password?” and it’ll take you to a new screen where you have to put your Google account user name and password. The same user name and password against which the device is registered at Google Play store.

NOTE: Make sure you are either connected to mobile network or Wi-Fi .
Solution: If in case you don’t have mobile data or Wi-Fi switched on, unfortunately you cannot access your device until you perform a full factory reset of the device. Take out the SD card so that all on the data on the memory card should be intact. This factory reset (also called ‘hard reset‘ since you are forcefully wiping all the data off your device) formats  internal memory and also the extended memory, if you keep it inside the device itself.
To perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

For devices with physical home button:-

 1. Press the power button and the home button together or Power button and Volume button together for a while, long enough till the Android boot mode screen appears. Press home button to reach the options under boot mode. Navigate through the options using volume key and select “Wipe Data Factory Reset“option using shortcut menu button. Again navigate to the option “delete- all user data” and select it using shortcut menu button. (Make sure memory card is not inside; otherwise the data on it will be lost). After the data is deleted, a message saying “Data Wipe Complete” appears.  Press the shortcut menu button to reboot the tablet again. Now, your tablet is as fresh as a new tablet
With NO physical HOME button:-
2. In case your device does not have a physical home button, press the power button and both the volume keys together for few seconds.
3. Press gently the “reset pin-hole” present generally on a side of Tablet. Use a clip-pin or similarly fine thing to gently push inside to reset your device to factory settings.
NOTE: Above mention steps are general method that work with most of the tablet although few of the tablet has different hard reset method.  See the differnt Hard reset/factory wipe methods for Tablet PC .
Solution: Unlock the tablet using Android developer tool. This tool is used for the development of Android OS and Android app. Check out the above link to get the command and tool downloading link.
Solution 4 :Tablet not accepting Google id and password, but it is actually correct.

Solution: In this case, use another tablet or laptop or PC and go to https://accounts.google.com/IssuedAuthSubTokens. Check whether your email account is registered with the Google 2-Step Verification Method. If not, then register it (http://www.google.com/landing/2step/).
In application specific password page, the first point is “Android Phone” (In our case, it’s the Android Tablet) which is shown to have “Full Account Access“. Click “Revoke Access” button and a message saying that the account access has been successfully revoked, will appear.
Next go to “Application Specific- Passwords” message. In the bottom of page, there will be an option “Generate new application-specific password“. There, put any name and click on “Generate Password” button.  A 16 digit password will be generated (Keep this password handy.)
Now in your tablet, keep giving the wrong pattern voluntarily till the screen with “forgot Password?” option appears.
Click on the “Forgot password?” option. Enter your Gmail ID with which your account is registered and the password (the 16 digit password that you just now generated). Sign in and “Unlock selection” appears. Choose the type of password you want to give. Here I choose to use pattern password again. Draw the new pattern two times.

Solution 5: Re-Install Android OS on your tablet 
Solution: In this case Android has been re-installed on your tablet pc. This can be done either through a bootable memory stick or by connecting the tab to the computer and using a different software.   
Above mention methods will not work with Chinese tablet. The only way you can get the Chinese tab unlocked is through Flashing or Android re-installation

nComputing has been around since 2003. In the technology world, this is a lifetime. nComputing sells terminals – access devices – that come in three basic flavors:
  • X-Series: Direct. With X-series devices, a specialized PCI card is installed in the machine designated as the server. Individual access terminals are connected to the server with Category 5 cabling. The access devices allow users to connect their own monitor, keyboard and mouse. Don’t let the fact that the X-series uses Category 5 cabling fool you. This is not an Ethernet-based solution and terminals can’t be any further than 10 meters from the server.
  • U-Series: USB. Many places have machines clustered into pods. In these kinds of scenarios, nComputing’s U-series access devices are a good fit. With this solution, you don’t need to worry about a specialized PCI card, but do need to make sure that the machine you intend to use as a server has enough USB ports to support your intentions.
  • L-series: Ethernet. The L-series devices, specifically the L300, are the focus of this article. L-series devices connect to an Ethernet network and connect to a server located elsewhere on that network.
As I mentioned, the L300 is the device on which I will focus in this article. It carries a list price of $279, although that price can come down considerably when the devices are purchased in bulk. At the $200 mark or so, a terminal becomes a much more acceptable cost, particularly when that terminal can handle some advanced multimedia in reasonable ways, at least at LAN speeds. You will discover in this article that the L300 access devices are not a great WAN solution, but for many, that’s okay.
By the way, nComputing includes a vSpace (explained later) license with each L300 and there are no additional licensing costs for the solution from nComputing.

vSpace software

The vSpace software is another part of nComputing’s “secret sauce” solution. This software is installed on any supported Windows machine and virtualizes those resources that are necessary to provide a seamless session-based computing experience. Those resources are then shared among the many users that connect to the server.
Although I have not tested it, vSpace is also supported on Ubuntu Linux systems, making Ubuntu a choice for terminal-based computing as well.
vSpace is installed on top of an existing copy of Windows; both desktop and server editions of Windows are supported. Before you jump too quickly, however, make sure you understand Microsoft’s licensing restrictions. You need to have Windows Server licenses and client access licenses (CALs) as well as Remote Desktop Services CALs. Read more about the licensing restrictions here.

User eXtension Protocol (UXP)

UXP is nComputing’s own protocol for handle remote screen display. This protocol works in conjunction with the vSpace software and the nComputing terminal to provide a really good end user experience.  In my own testing, the office work experience was indistinguishable from a regular PC. When it comes to multimedia – browsing YouTube and Flash sites, for example – I’ve been very impressed with the performance of the nComputing solution. Both low- and hi-def video works well. Standard definition video is just about perfect. High def video can get choppy, but not very often and not so bad that it would negatively affect casual usage.
Perhaps the only downside of the UXP protocol lies around bandwidth usage. A single client can consume up to 15 Mbps of network bandwidth, making the solution unsuitable for WAN deployments. Further, this level of bandwidth usage might limit large LAN deployments, too. That said, your users won’t be pushing that maximum bandwidth load 100% of the time. On a 1 Gbps network link, you won’t run into major problems unless you try to place 50 or 60 units on a single link and everyone is pushing their devices to the max. If your users are doing nothing more than general office work, I doubt that you will see a 15 Mbps impact.

Note that there are two USB 1.1 ports designated for the keyboard and mouse and two “remote USB 2.0” ports. The two USB 1.1 ports are pretty self-explanatory, but let me go into a bit of detail about the two USB 2.0 ports. First of all, don’t expect USB 2.0 speeds out of the terminal. USB 2.0 operates at speeds of up to 480 Mbps. If the terminal supported these kinds of speeds, scalability would be severely limited. Expect USB 1.1 speeds. If you connect a massive hard drive and copy a huge file from that drive to a connected session, you might be waiting for a while since the device’s USB 2.0 ports operate at 1.1 level speeds (think 10 to 12 Mbps).
Second, not all USB devices will work with the L300. I’ve tried by USB flash drives and web cams.  While flash drives worked just fine (albeit, a bit slowly), web cams didn’t work at all. I asked nComputing and  they explained that isochronous USB devices aren’t supported by the L300 nor are they supported by many other thin client solutions. Isochronous USB devices are expected to operate at a guaranteed data rate, which is often pretty high. Real-time audio/video support, as used with web cams, can’t handle the lack of guaranteed bandwidth and the low speeds provided by the L300 and other thin clients. When you really think about it, this makes sense, too, as scalability would be severely limited.
Even with these limitations, the L300, in my opinion, remains a very viable contender in the VDI race.
Of course, lack of support for some USB devices eliminates the possibility for the L300 to be deployed in certain scenarios that require this kind of support.

System requirements

When it comes to density, you can do a pretty good job with the L300. In the system requirements table below, you’ll notice that the L300 supports 30 terminals per host with only very modest requirements needed for the “server” hardware. Since nComputing supports the use of beefed up desktop computers as a server, this can be a pretty low cost solution that performs very well.

Disable USB ports on Windows PC via Registry


This trick, you cadisable access to your USB(Universal Serial Bus) ports on your Windows based PC to prevent people from taking out data without permission or spreading viruses through the use of USB (pen and flash) drives. 

To use this trick to disable USB ports, follow the steps given below:-

1.Click on Start.
2.Click on Run. If you cannot find RUN, type it in the search box.

3. his will launch the Registry Editor.
Navigate

4.In the work area, double click on Start.
5.In the Value Data box, enter 4.
Click on OK.
Close Registry Editor and refresh your desktop.
To re-enable access to your USB ports, enter 3 in the Value Data box in Step 6.

Turn off Windows Features

By default, Windows enables a lot of features that you most likely don’t use and take up valuable resources on your computer. However, these features can be disabled. There are many ways to disable Windows features. 

Disable the Indexing Service in Windows

The Search Indexing service in Windows scans through the files and folders on your system and records information about them in an index file to speed up the search process. However, this also consumes resources on your system and can slow it down. If you don’t do a lot of searching through files and folders, you can turn off the indexing service to free up some resources and speed up your computer.
Open the Start menu and enter “services.msc” (without the quotes) in the search box. Press Enter or click on the services.msc link when it displays.

Reduce the Delay of the Start Menu Display

By default, there is a delay before the Start menu and its submenus display. If you want to make the Start menu open faster, you can change a key in the registry to accomplish this.
Open the Start menu and enter “regedit.msc” (without the quotes) in the search box. Press Enter or click on the regedit.msc link when it displays.
If the User Account Control dialog box displays, click Yes to continue.
NOTE: You may not see this dialog box, depending on your User Account Control settings.
In the tree in the left pane of the Registry Editor, navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop key. In the right pane, scroll down until you find the MenuShowDelay data value. Right-click on the name and select Modify from the popup menu.

In the Value data edit box on the Edit String dialog box, enter a new value between 0 and 4000. This indicates how many milliseconds it takes for the Start menu and any submenus to display. We don’t recommend you use 0 as the value. It might make it hard to navigate through the menus. Click OK to accept your change.

Install Programs into a Virtual Machine
